The Elm Ensemble

Bringing together professional and amateur musicians with great sacred music and creative liturgical planning, the Elm Ensemble (based in Dexter, Michigan) leads worship in a variety of congregations and provides online resources. We want to keep the church in dialogue with diverse voices from Christian history and across the global Christian community today.

University of Minnesota Chamber Singers: Into the COVID Era

In April 2020, Kathy Saltzman Romey and members of the University of Minnesota’s Chamber Singers (the ensemble’s 2018 recordings also appear in this Showcase) carried this repertoire into the COVID Era, with remote recordings of Mozart’s OPORTO and Mendelssohn’s LADE. These are musical testaments to a world of social distance, but breathe an air of startling intimacy.

University of Minnesota Chamber Singers

The University of Minnesota Chamber Singers are drawn from the ranks of the University Singers, the institution’s flagship choral ensemble. They explore a variety of classical and global repertoire for mixed chorus from the Renaissance through the 21st century. These 2018 recordings of AMBROSE, PASTORIUS, and PHILADELPHIA were the first recordings undertaken in connection with this anthology.
